History of Drakelow Tunnels

Once a former military complex.

Hidden from site, down beneath view in the Kingsford Country Park Area.

The tunnels were first built for the known Rover Car Company between the years 1941-1942.

Drakelow Tunnels are around 3.5 miles long. and were used to machine aircraft engine parts during WW1. Then the Tunnels were then later given to the Ministry of Supply to then be taken over by the ministry of works.

In the 1960's the British Government decided to make some parts of the tunnels completley top secret so that if a nucleur war was to happen people would be safe in there.

In the year 1993 the government then decided it was no longer to be used as a base and the whole complex was then sold.

During this period there has been alot of reported accidents and deaths within the tunnels. In tunnel one it was reported that 5 men were killed after the tunnelcollapsed and heavy rocks fell on them.

It was also reported that a woman working outside of the tunnel was knock down and tragically killed by a passing truck heading to the tunnels.

Paranormal History

3.5 miles of pitch black darkness. No lighting other than our torches are your nerves strong enough for this?

Ghostly apparitions, disembodied voices are heard to echo throughout the tunnels,

Are you brave enough to go it alone on a lone vigil to see if the mysterious flashes of green lights that respond to questions asked will come so close to you that you are engulfed in the presence of this paranormal phenominom.

Will you be so brave to here the whispers of those no longer living as the darkness engulfs you!!

This is set to be an amazing night of creepy happenings!!

Please arrive around 8.30pm for the event to start promptly at 9.00pm

Upon arrival you will be greated by the team. After a short talk guests will be given a guided tour of the parts of the building we will be using for the night.

We will then break off into groups to carry out our investigations.

Guests will have the opportunity to partake in the following,

Ouija and spirit board sessions.

Human Pendulum.

Table tipping

Dowsing rods

Seance

Lone and group vigils

Having the opportunity to use tech equipment such as K2's, spirit box,trigger objects plus much more to try and capture evidence from the beyond.

As the majority of the evening will be conducted with little or no light please remember your torch.

Feel free to bring along your own ghost hunting equipment.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the event.

This event is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.
